COVID-19 Guidelines
Reopening Museum

Target Date:  April 11. 2021
                HOURS: Sundays 1-4pm or by appointment; Closed holidays and during some special events

Traffic Flow:
  • Tour will be designated around exhibits (e.g. yellow arrows taped to floor) so that visitors will enter through the main entrance, clean their hands with sanitizer at the desk, take a one-way tour, and exit by the eastern door.
  • Family groups will be encouraged to stay together
  • Maximum 6 single visitors or 1-2 family groups (in addition to staff)

Sanitation:
  • In addition to routine cleaning, doors will be propped open and door handles disinfected.
  • Visitors will be asked to use hand sanitizer at front desk.
  • Visitors will receive a temperature check. If someone (including staff) has a temp above 99.8 degrees F, s/he will be asked to have a check-up with a physician before entering the museum.
  • All visitors and staff (without medical exceptions) are required to wear masks and maintain 6-ft. social distancing.
  • Visitors will be asked to refrain from touching any objects/exhibits.
  • Gloves will be available to examine a particular object/document, as needed.

Communications:
  • Guidelines will be posted on the museum entry door, at the front desk, on social media sites and in newsletters.
  • All items (except hand sanitizer) will be removed from the front desk. Membership envelopes will be available near the exit.
  • Staff will keep a log of visitor information.​
